Our September Cupcake Theme at the Daisy is "Back To School"!
8 Deluxe cupcakes based on characters from great American Literature!
  • JAY GATSBY (from The Great Gatsby) -- Champagne cake with Lemon-Bitters buttercream filling and layers of Peach and Creme de Cassis buttercream frosting, topped with "Champagne Bubble" Sugar Pearls. All the best of Champagne Cocktails in one--cheers!
  • DOROTHY GALE (from The Wizard of Oz) -- Poppyseed cake with Raspberry filling and Vanilla Bean buttercream frosting, topped with a house-made Ruby Slipper on a Yellow Brick Road design. Beyond the obvious symbols on top, remember the poppy field they fell asleep in and the snow that woke them up? That's where poppyseed cake and vanilla bean frosting come in.
  • SANTIAGO (from The Old Man and the Sea-- Banana-Rum cake with Caramelized Banana filling and Caramel buttercream frosting, topped with a Sea-Salted house-made Toffee "Sail."
  • SCARLETT O'HARA (from Gone with the Wind) -- Red Velvet cake with gooey Pecan filling and Buttermilk buttercream frosting designed as a "Hoop Skirt with a Ribbon" on it. Frankly, we do give a damn.
  • THE RAVEN (from The Raven) -- Black Satin Fudge cake with Blackberry Mousse filling and Port-Chocolate ganache frosting "Raven" design. Evermore! GLUTEN-FREE!
  • SCOUT FINCH (from To Kill a Mockingbird) -- Vanilla cake with Bourbon-Coconut-Raisin-Pecan filling and Meringue frosting, topped with a house-made "Marble" candy. (That unusual filling is based on the "Lane Cake" described in the book.) GLUTEN-FREE!
  • LENNIE SMALL (from Of Mice and Men) -- Baked Bean cake with Coffee buttercream filling and Maple buttercream frosting, topped with a Chocolate ganache and Bacon "Bunny Face" design.
  • SAM SPADE (from The Maltese Falcon) -- Whisky-Brown Sugar cake with Chocolate ganache filling and Whisky buttercream frosting, topped with a Chocolate ganache "Spade" design. "I couldn't be fonder of you if you were my own son. But, well, if you lose a son, it's possible to get another. There's only one Maltese Falcon."

The Daisy Cafe & Cupcakery "Four C's"
We built the Daisy with four goals clearly in mind.
Cafe   Breakfast and Lunch served from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM every day, featuring inventive comfort food always made from scratch, including great Vegetarian and Gluten-Free selections. Try one of four signature breakfast egg Stratas or one of six specialty Meat Loaves. Dinner served Tuesdays through Saturdays, featuring rotating Dinner Specials as well as 6 varieties of Meatloaf, Burgers, Soups and Salads. We also serve beer and wine, and some classic cocktails.
Cupcakery   Cupcakes baked from scratch in-house daily. Quality ingredients, natural flavors--no artificial flavors or artificial colorings or preservatives. Delicious premium cupcakes with new flavors all the time. Vegan and Gluten-Free selections daily!
Coffeehouse   Serving locally-owned, fair-trade, organic Johnson Brothers Coffee products and Madison's award-winning, fair-trade, organic Cha Cha Teas.
Community   Enjoy Porchlight Products on the menu and available for retail purchase. The Daisy is largest customer of Porchlight Products in Madison. Have a latte and a cupcake in the community lounge. Post local events and announcements on the community bulletin board. Free Wi-Fi!

Breakfast & Lunch served 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily.
Dinner served Tuesdays through Saturdays, 3:00 to 8:00 PM.
Cupcakery serving 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (or until cupcakes sell out!) daily.
